How many rounds do I need?
The usual formula is ⌈log₂ N⌉ rounds: 5 for up to 32 participants, 6 for up to 64, 7 for up to 128.
Is it free?
Yes — creating and running tournaments is free. Supporter plans add more simultaneous tournaments.
When is Swiss better than round robin or a knockout?
When there are too many participants to play everyone, but you do not want anybody eliminated after one loss — a common choice for chess, esports and card game events.
